Bring: Hiking gear* & bug repellent
Also bring: at least one adult with a child & a smart-phone, if you have one

1. Gathering at the community room in Haslett Public Library @ 1pm
2. Outdoors: Running, matching/sorting tree leaf ID games &
Leaf-snap App cooperative map-making
3. Indoors: Snack (provided by Foods for Living) with book read-aloud
4. Interactive Slideshow : Learning about MI trees & how to participate in
Tree Citizen Science Project(s)
5. Outdoors: QR Code Tree ID game & hike to a multi-ecosystem nature area,
including time to play & explore

New this year: You are welcome to attend again to see how many
trees you can remember, and try our new tech games:
Leaf-snap App cooperative map-making, & the QR Code Tree ID game,
played during the hike.
*‘Hiking gear’ can be as simple as old sneakers, shoes, or boots that you are
comfortable walking 1-2 miles in. A small backpack or other easy-to-carry
bag to hold sunblock, bug repellent, hat(s), and water is also helpful.
