Time: 1-4pm (or so)
Bring: Hiking gear* & bug repellent (& a mobile computing device, if you have one)
Also bring: at least one adult with a child
To be sure there are enough snacks & materials for your family, if possible, please RSVP by Friday 12 June 2015 @ noon via blog comment @ http://naturescienceclub.weebly.com
or email @ [email protected]
Note: If you came to the Bats of Michigan program last year, you are encouraged to attend again! How much do you remember? Do you remember all 9 Michigan Bats? Would you like to test a bat detector?
*‘Hiking gear’ can be as simple as old sneakers, shoes, or boots that you are comfortable walking 1-2 miles in, and that you don’t mind getting muddy or wet, if there is mud or water on the trails. It’s also a great idea to bring sunblock (& bug repellent of some kind!), and a hat can also help protect from the sun. Finally, a water bottle for yourself and child(ren) is important. A small backpack or other easy-to-carry bag to hold the sunblock, bug repellent, hat, and water is very helpful.
