Our Agenda:
1. Gathering at the community room in Haslett Public Library @ 1pm
2. Outdoors: updated running, flitting, & chirping bird ID games
3. Indoors: (2pm) Snack (provided by Foods for Living) with vote on July meeting topic, book read-aloud &/or chat about board membership for children & adults and 501c3 non-profit steps
4. Learning about a few of Michigan's 400+ bird species
5. How to use Bird-related Citizen Science Monitoring Sites
6. Distributing Bird ID take-home mini-guide
7. Outdoors: (3pm) Hike to listen for birds in a multi-ecosystem nature area, including time to play & explore outdoors.
Where: Haslett Public Library
When: Saturday 22 April 2017
Time: 1-4pm
Bring: Hiking gear*
Also bring: at least one adult with a child

*Hiking gear’ can be as simple as old sneakers, shoes, or boots that you are comfortable walking 1-2 miles in, and that you don’t mind getting muddy or wet, if there is mud or water on the trails. Bug repellant may be handy, as is a water bottle.
